Drop4drop funds sustainable clean water solutions to countries that need it most.
Working tirelessly in India and Africa, they employ local labourers and those heavily involved in the community to create clean water solutions for those in need. Involving locals in the project creates a sense of ownership and pride.
They also provide maintenance training and hygiene education to ensure maximum longevity. Every project they undertake provides clean water to a community of over 1000 people who have never before had this privilege, Drop 4 Drop provides emergency relief around the world as well.
Projects in India
In India, there are nearly 100 million people without access to clean water. 186,000 children die every year as a result of unsafe water and poor sanitation. The water crisis is a huge issue in India and the country is a real focus for drop4drop. Their projects are based in the state of Andhra Pradesh, a drought-prone region hugely affected by the water crisis. As with most developing countries, women and children are often the ones who have to walk miles to collect sufficient water, which is often dirty and unsafe anyway. Water is not only a health issue, it is a gender and economic one too. With the development of clean water wells in the centre of villages, the health and well being of the whole community will increase; children are then able to attend school and women able to work.
Projects in Africa
Over 345 million people lack access to clean water in Africa. In Zambia, where they undertake the majority of their work. With over a third of its population unable to access clean water (UNICEF) Zambia is seriously affected by the water crisis. Drop4drop has been working with its partner in Zambia for the last 3 years to help combat the situation. Since working in the area, the number of people admitted to hospital with water-related illnesses has dropped by a massive 60%.
Emergency Relief
While their main focus is on long term water solutions, they make every effort to help out whenever emergency relief is needed. DROP4DROP have long standing relationships with partner charities that have years of experience in coping with emergency relief situations. To date they have helped out with water solutions in response to Hurricane Felix in Nicaragua, the 2010 Haiti Earthquake, the Pakistan floods, the 2011 East African drought and hurricane Haiyan in the Philippines.

We are now introducing the 500ml 100% recycled aluminium refillable bottle filled with natural spring water which has a subtle blend of healthy minerals and a clear crisp taste
This is an eco-friendly container that requires up to 95% less energy to produce than standard aluminium bottles and cans. Our bottle keeps our water fresher and cooler for longer. The bottles are sturdy and lightweight weighing just 60 grams when empty. As per our water cans, our bottles have a thin BPA- free coating inside, which acts as a barrier between the water and the aluminium.
